Mai-Lin is a widow, a mother of four children, a stroke survivor and an entrepreneur. The stroke left Mai Lin paralysed on the right side and unable to support all of her children so she placed a daughter with an NGO in Siem Reap.
Through GFTV Mai-Lin leaned to make paper gift and shopping bags out of recycled newspaper. Selling her handmade bags enables her to earn a modest income and she is now about to support all her family and help with their education.
At Genevieve's Fair Trade Village we use her newspaper bags to package customer purchases and we are very happy that her family is now reunited.
